Cruelty-free nail polishes are nail polishes that have not been tested on animals, whose ingredients have not been tested on animals and whose manufacturers do not commission third parties to carry out animal experiments. Here is a list of manufacturers which produce cruelty-free nail polishes. There are only the manufacturers, in this list, who have acquired seals of approval for cruelty-free products for their products and/or expressly declare that their products are cruelty-free. Some manufacturers don’t have seals of approval for cruelty-free products, which can be the case for cost reasons. As we don’t want to punish these manufacturers, some of them are also in our list, because they also offer cruelty-free products in their assortments.

To help you find your way around in the list, the manufacturers are divided into continents and sorted by free names. If nail polishes have free names, this means that they are free of certain ingredients. These are harmful substances such as plasticizers, fragrances or alcohol. Unfortunately, there are no specifications as to when the free names may be used. Each manufacturer can decide for himself which ingredients he don’t use in his nail polishes. The following list shows the ingredients which are usually not contained in the nail polish when using the free names.

By each manufacturer you will find a link to their nail polish range and the name of the country in which they produce. In addition, you will find by some manufacturers notes, because some of them also have nail polishes with other free name in their range.
